Album amicorum, 1832-1836.

Kept while Simpson was in Munich, this "album of friends" consists of a box designed to look like an autograph album and contains 28 loose postcard-size signed cards with messages, poems, and sketches from various friends, including editor Henry Reeve and playwright and novelist Charlotte Birch-Pfeiffer. Two cards have drawings attached: a colored pencil sketch portrait of a woman in profile and a pencil sketch portrait of a man in three-quarter. One pen-and-ink sketches consist of a group of people near a lake, another is of a man sitting behind a table.
